Mother and her son

I was sitting on the Tokyo subway and what appears to be a young mother and her son came and sat next to me. The young boy had a portable electronic game in his hands and began to play it. The game must have come to a vital phase because the young man showed the console to his mother and said, "Look, Mom!" The mother ignored him and said, "Be quiet!" leaving the impression that she had been impatient with him for some time. The sad young man went back to his game. The subway passed two more stations and he must have realized that they were approaching their destination. He said, "Not yet?" She said, "We're getting off," without looking at him and stood up. He stood up and followed his mother to the station platform.

Both the mother and son did not look very happy.
